Every day, Trinity Youth Services, is helping over four hundred at-risk boys and girls transform themselves into healthy and productive adults through our multidisciplinary treatment approach in the secure, caring, and nurturing environments of our residential campuses across California. Forty years ago, Trinity began as a small residential campus, called Guadalupe Homes for Boys, providing shelter and support to six troubled boys from the Los Angeles area. Since then our residential treatment program has grown to six campuses stretching from Ukiah, just north of San Francisco, to Whitewater, near Palm Springs.
Many of our residents, ranging in age from six to eighteen, have suffered abuse, neglect, and abandonment, and as a result often face serious emotional and behavioral challenges. To assist residents in confronting and triumphing over these challenges, each Trinity campus offers a comprehensive range of services – therapeutic, recreational, educational, and vocational – in a peaceful residential or semi-rural setting. Our trained and experienced staff works closely with residents to achieve treatment goals, using Group Centered Leadership, individual and other group therapies. Residents have access to special education resources through an Advanced Education Services school either on or close to the campus. All our residential campuses have a recreational program that includes athletics, arts and crafts, games, and other activities.
Since 1966, Trinity residential campuses have been rescuing children in crisis. Whether residents are returning to their families or preparing for emancipation, Trinity provides the tools, training, and caring necessary for at-risk children and youth to climb mountains, instead of falling through the cracks.
