Trinity Youth Services opened our comprehensive foster care program in 1983. We partner with trained foster parents to provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for those children who are separated from their birth families due to neglect, abuse, abandonment or family instability. The purpose of our foster care program is two-fold: to recruit, train and support these foster parents; and to monitor and guide the foster child throughout this transitional period.
Qualified individuals who share Trinity's mission to serve the child's best interest participate in an extensive training program to become certified foster parents. Our experienced and committed social workers maintain low case loads so that each can work closely with foster parents and children to minimize the anxiety of transitioning into foster care and ensure fulfillment of treatment goals.
Trinity Foster Care supports the foster parents and foster child or youth with a number of special services, including 24/7 on-call social workers, transportation assistance and therapeutic programs. Our staff and foster parents facilitate reunification with the foster child's natural family through establishing family visitations, preparing the foster child for reunification, and helping the parents obtain intervention and recovery services as needed. We also collaborate with many community groups and corporate sponsors to furnish our foster children with the missing extras - toys, birthday and holiday parties, trips to an amusement part or a museum - extras these kids so deserve.
Every day Trinity is helping children and healing families through the foster care program at Trinity Youth Services.
