Our Mission Statement
To provide each child, family and adult in our care with quality therapeutic treatment, social services and education programs in a supportive and nurturing environment so that they may lead healthy, productive lives.
Trinity Youth Services provides exceptional foster care and mental health services to children who have been removed from their homes by child protective services due to abuse, neglect, abandonment, unsafe living conditions and/or family instability. Children ranging in age from infancy to age 21, are matched with loving foster families who are certified and trained through Trinity's foster care certification program. Our program is recognized as one of the best in the field of child care services.
More than forty years ago, Trinity Youth Services began as Guadalupe Homes for Boys, providing shelter and support to six at-risk youth from the Los Angeles area. That small program has grown and expanded from the original six children to a comprehensive children's services agency, serving troubled youth in residential treatment programs throughout Southern California.
Many of the children in our care, who range in age from seven to twenty-one, have suffered from abuse, neglect and abandonment. As a result, they often develop emotional and behavioral challenges. To assist children in confronting and triumphing over these challenges, each Trinity home offers a full range of services - therapeutic, recreational, educational and vocational, as well as independent living skills. Our trained and experienced staff works closely with our children using proven individual and group therapies, evidenced-based practices. Each home has a recreational program that includes athletics, arts and crafts, games and other enriching activities.
